Thing One. I'm Tired!

So this week I have started an online library training course via blogger. Each week the blog tells its followers to do different "things" and we learn as we go along. At the moment I am creating a portfolio of work to send to CILIP in order to gain my Certification in Librarianship (I can then progress to Chartership). I'm hoping that there will be things on this course I can implement in our library, and subsequently put in my portfolio.

I am having to follow the course at home, rather than at work, as the site blogger, is classed as pornography in our school. Very embarrassing when trying to access for the first time in front of a group of students!

Lets just hope I'm not too tired at the end of the day to follow the course properly. The great thing is I can reflect on it here, so if I don't think I've learnt something 100% I can write it down to jog my memory! Fab!

  1. Roxanne, good work! I too am participating in this self-directed training initiative. I am listed at Transliteracy Librarian http://transliteracylibrarian.wordpress.com/

    I am in Canada.

I have chosen to make a ZoHo notebook and post to that each week with a link to my blog. I am excited to be a part of this self-directed learning initiative.

I find this first week rather exhausting too! So many things to look at and consider! Whew!

I'm trying to do the CILIP certification thing too. Still in a bit of a muddle over it all!

  3. Hi to both of you.

transliteracylibrarian I have a 13 month old little boy who is the root of my tiredness, the work I actually find quite relaxing in comparison lol!

Becky I am in Staffordshire. CILIP Certification is very confusing indeed! I am just going with the flow, putting as much together as possible, then will edit it down if needs be when it comes to sending it all off!
